Creator programme

The creator programme, in plain words.

You bring traders to BacktestFlow and earn a share of what they pay, for as long as they stay subscribed. You accept these terms when you accept the invite; they sit on top of the terms of service.

1. The programme

The programme is run by Simone Benetti, VAT number (P.IVA) 04454200249, Via del Cornale 5, 36049 Sovizzo (Vicenza), Italy ("we", "us"). It is by invitation: we send the invite to one email address, the link in it works for 14 days, and it can only be accepted by the BacktestFlow account registered with that address. "You" is the person who accepts it.

You are an independent party. Nothing here makes you our employee, agent or partner, and you do not speak or sign for us. The terms of service apply to your account like to any other.

2. Your account

While you are in the programme your account has the Max plan at no charge. The plan is granted by us, not bought: an account in the programme cannot hold a paid subscription at the same time, so an invite cannot be accepted by an account with a subscription that is still running, and an account in the programme cannot open a checkout.

You get one code and one link. Whoever uses the code at checkout gets 10% off for12 months: twelve discounted invoices on a monthly plan, the first payment on a yearly one. The code works only for people who have never paid for BacktestFlow. The link carries the code: an account created from it finds the discount already applied at checkout.

The code is final once it exists. We do not issue a second one, and we do not change the discount for one creator.

4. Which customers are yours

  • A customer becomes yours when they create their account from your link, or when they make their first payment with your code.
  • If a link and a code name two different creators, the code decides, because it is what the customer chose in front of the price. This can only happen before the first commission exists: after that the customer does not move.
  • Somebody who arrives without your link and pays without your code is not your customer, whatever brought them. The link is not stored on their device: it counts when the account is created in the same visit. The code is what survives a change of device or of day.
  • Your own account never counts, and neither does an account registered with your address.

5. What you earn

You earn a share of every invoice one of your customers pays, for as long as they keep paying and you are in the programme. The share is applied to what the payment leaves us: the amount paid (after the discount), minus the payment processor's fee on that charge, minus the tax on the invoice where one applies, minus 0.7% of the amount paid, which is Stripe's fee for running subscriptions.

The share depends on how many of your customers have a paid subscription running at that moment:

  • 30% up to 29 active customers
  • 35% from 30 active customers
  • 40% from 100 active customers

An active customer is one of your customers with a paid subscription that is running, including one whose last charge failed and is being retried. Accounts on the free plan do not count, and neither do plans we granted. The rate is read when each invoice is paid and written with it: it goes up and down with your active customers, and it never rewrites an invoice already recorded.

6. The first 30 days

For 30 days, starting from the first payment made by a customer of yours, the share is 100% on invoices of monthly plans and 50% on invoices of yearly plans. The window opens once, with that first payment, not with the invite. An invoice counts by the day it is paid: a monthly customer who joined on day 5 and renews on day 35 earns you the rate of clause 5 on the renewal.

7. Payouts

  • Your balance is what you have earned minus what we have already paid you. You see it, and every commission behind it, on the Referral page.
  • You ask for a payout from that page, once the balance is at least €100. One request at a time: what you earn after asking stays in the balance for the next one.
  • After a request we write to you at the address of your account for your bank details and for the invoice or receipt the payment needs. The transfer is made on the first day of the month after the request, or as soon after that as we have what we asked for.
  • Payouts are in euro, by bank transfer. Bank fees on your side are yours.
  • You are responsible for declaring what you earn and for the taxes and contributions on it where you live. Where the law makes us withhold an amount, we withhold it and tell you.

8. Refunds and reversals

A payment that is refunded, charged back or reversed earns no commission. When that happens we reverse the commission: it leaves your balance, and the Referral page shows the row as reversed. If it was already paid to you, your balance goes below zero by that amount and what you earn next fills it before anything can be withdrawn.

9. How you promote BacktestFlow

  • Say that you earn from the link or the code, clearly and where your audience sees it, as the rules on advertising in your country and on your platform require.
  • Do not promise profits. BacktestFlow is a tool for testing strategies on historical data: results obtained that way are hypothetical and do not predict or guarantee anything. Do not say or imply otherwise. The risk disclosure is the reference.
  • Describe the product as it is. Do not invent features, prices or discounts.
  • Do not buy search or social ads on our name, do not send unsolicited messages, and do not post your code on coupon sites.
  • Do not create accounts, or pay for subscriptions, to earn on them yourself, and do not pay others to do it.

Commissions earned by breaking this clause are not due. We can review a balance before paying it.

10. Ending

You can leave the programme at any time by writing to [email protected]. We can close it for you at any time too, and we do it without notice for a breach of clause 9. When the programme ends for you: the Max plan ends, the code stops working at checkout, and no new commission is recorded. What you had already earned stays yours and can still be withdrawn from the Referral page, whatever the amount: the minimum of clause 7 no longer applies.

We can change the rates or the rules of the programme. A change applies to invoices paid after it, never to ones already recorded, and we write to you before it takes effect.

11. Law and versions

These terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes go to the court of Vicenza, Italy. If a clause turns out to be invalid, the others stay in force. The English text is the one that applies. The version you accepted is the date at the top of this page, recorded with your acceptance.
