BacktestFlow vs FX Replay
FX Replay and BacktestFlow both replay forex in the browser on TradingView charts, and both keep a live journal. FX Replay goes wide: many markets, 5 second candles, several charts at once and its own scripting language. BacktestFlow goes deep on forex: pips, the 17:00 New York session grid, a record of every trade and findings checked for significance.

Where BacktestFlow leads
“AI-powered feedback on your trading behavior to identify patterns”
Both tools look for patterns in how you trade. Flow Coach keeps a pattern only if it passes a significance check, and its report may only quote numbers the engine measured.
Every close opens a write up with notes, tags, your checklist and a screenshot captured on close. The replay waits until it is saved. So the trades you'd rather forget stay in the sample, and the statistics describe every trade you took.
Flow Coach runs 28 analyses across backtest and journal. A finding is kept only if it passes a significance check: a 90% Wilson interval and a minimum group of 8 trades. The written report may only quote numbers the engine measured; otherwise no report is issued.
On every plan, the statistics compare the risk to reward you planned with what you captured, and track target hit rate and sizing consistency. On paid plans they also score checklist discipline. Those numbers separate a strategy problem from an execution problem. See the full list and why that distinction matters.
Statistics read in pips. Multi hour candles sit on the 17:00 New York grid through every daylight saving change, so they match tradingview.com. Switching timeframe rebuilds the current candle only from bars already replayed, so no future price shows. On paid plans, performance breaks down by trading session. More on the session breakdown.
When you sign up, you describe your strategy in plain words and it becomes a strategy card with a checklist. Every trade is then measured against that checklist. On paid plans you can also draft it from the strategy form, or dictate it.
Where FX Replay leads
If futures, stocks or crypto sit next to forex in your plan, FX Replay is the better fit: one platform covers all of them.
Scalping and very tight stops depend on what happens within a minute, and FX Replay's seconds timeframe shows it. For 15 minute charts and above, one minute candles are usually enough.
FX Replay shows several pairs at once and jumps straight to news events, with an economic calendar alongside. If your method depends on that view, it is the better fit.
